Leather Recliner Sofas

Electric recliners open and close at the touch of a button and can stop at any angle, which suits anyone who finds a lever awkward or wants the headrest and lumbar to adjust too. They need a socket nearby. Manual recliners use a lever or pull-tab, have no wiring, and are usually a little cheaper. Most of our stock is electric recliner sofas; every listing says which type it is.

A power headrest tilts the top of the backrest forward so your head is supported when the sofa is reclined, which stops the neck strain you get on a flat back. Power lumbar inflates or firms the lower back section to suit you. Both adjust independently of the footrest, so you can sit upright with lumbar support or lie back with the headrest up. Look for "power headrests and power lumbar" in the title.

Most need 10 to 15cm between the back of the sofa and the wall to recline fully, and the footrest adds roughly 50cm in front when it is up. Some designs are wall-hugging and slide forward as they recline, so they can sit closer to the wall; the product page says so where that applies. Measure the room with the sofa reclined, not just upright, and check doorways against the width of the largest section, since most recliners arrive in two or three pieces.
