Okay, so today we are reviewing the Bronwyn range from Furniture Village. This is in partnership with The Lounge Co., another sofa company sold at Furniture Village. As you can see, it's a nice deep, squishy sofa.
Who it suits (0:16)
The depth of the sofa is what initially attracts you. Now, it's not for everyone. If you're looking for more back support or ease getting out of the sofa, it's not for you. For a smaller individual who doesn't want their feet dangling off the edge, probably not for you either. But for a larger man, or a couple who like to relax together on the sofa, it's a great one to lounge on. It's squishy, comfortable and perfect for watching TV.
Colours and style (0:42)
The Bronwyn range comes in quite a few bold colours. As you see here, it's quite an electric blue. It also comes in olive and mustard, so it's not just about comfort, it's got style to it too. It's got a button-back design, with these buttons in the back parts of the sofa.
Reversible cushions (0:57)
The cushions are reversible, which is great. You can turn them around, so if there are any stains on one side you can flip it over and cover that up nice and easy.
Size (1:12)
The Bronwyn range is quite large. This is a four seater, so you could comfortably get four people on the base cushions.
Seat cushions and care (1:20)
The seat cushions are, once again, reversible. You could take this cushion and put it over to that side if you have any stains on one side, which is great for families and pets who may cause damage to your sofas. You can unzip them if you do need to wash them for any major spills. I wouldn't recommend that unless it's absolutely necessary, because you could slightly damage the fabric or shrink it very slightly if it's not done correctly. The sofa also comes with a bit of spare fabric underneath, so if you do get any rips or spills you could take it to a seamstress, or repair it yourself if you've got the skills.
Will it fit through the door? (1:53)
This sofa is quite easy to get into a house. It's got quite a small frame once you take off the somewhat long legs and the cushions, and it's not too high anyway. You're only at 65 centimetres to get this into your house. Most typical doors are about 72 centimetres wide, so you should comfortably get this into a standard house. But if you do have a small doorway, do make sure to measure.
Price (2:10)
The Bronwyn range isn't exactly cheap. The price varies depending on what sale Furniture Village has on at the moment. It's around £1,700 for a four seater. Obviously we're quite a bit cheaper as an outlet, about 40% off, so ours was around a thousand pounds. It's definitely not cheap, but it does feel high quality, and it does seem good value for money.
Verdict (2:35)
Overall rating for the sofa would be 8.3. I like the comfort, I like the style, and I think it's got some ornate features that make it value for money.
