We source new excess stock, photography samples, and cancelled orders directly from DFS. For example, if a customer cancels an order because they can't wait 12 weeks for delivery, that brand-new stock needs a home - so it comes to us. We then pass those massive savings directly to you.
Every piece we stock is a unique 1 of 1. At Joseph James, you may compromise on the exact colour choice, but in return, you save hundreds, if not thousands—off the retail price and get your furniture immediately. Our inventory moves fast, so if you see a piece you love, secure it before it's gone for good.

DFS Furniture Outlet FAQs
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Our showrooms in St Helens, Stockport, Stretford and Warrington stock DFS sofas you can sit on before ordering, and online every listing shows photos of the actual item, not a stock image.
Because DFS has already taken the loss. A cancelled order or a discontinued range has been paid for and needs clearing, so DFS sells it to us in bulk at a price well below what any sale would reach. We sell from our own warehouse and showrooms without high-street rents or TV advertising, and pass the difference on at 30 to 70% below RRP.
Stock changes weekly, but the ranges we see most often are Orka, Dawson and Heydon. Each has its own page, linked above, and you can browse by type under DFS sofas, DFS corner sofas and DFS sofa sets.
DFS doesn't run its own outlet stores. Joseph James is an independent furniture outlet that buys DFS cancelled orders and end-of-line stock in bulk, which is why you'll find current DFS models here at 30 to 70% below RRP all year round.
Yes. Our showrooms in Manchester and Liverpool stock DFS sofas you can sit on before ordering. Online, every listing has photos of the actual item, not a stock image.
