Will the colour match the photos?
‹ Back to Products & Stock help
In short: our photos are a close representation of each piece, but screens and lighting vary, so the exact shade can look slightly different in person. If colour is important to you, just ask for more photos or come and see it in a showroom.
Our photos are a close guide
We photograph our furniture to show it as accurately as we can, so what you see online is a good, honest representation of the piece you will receive.
Why it can look a little different
A few everyday things can affect how a colour appears:
- Screens and devices all display colours slightly differently.
- Lighting, both in our photos and in your own home, changes how a shade looks.
- Natural materials such as wood, leather and fabric vary a little from piece to piece, which is part of their character.
If colour is important to you
If you want to be sure before you buy, ask our team for extra photos or a short video of the actual item, or come and see it in person at one of our showrooms. See can I buy in a showroom? And if an item ever arrives genuinely not as described, your statutory rights apply. See are my statutory rights affected?
Good to know
If you are trying to match a colour to something you already have, it is worth viewing the item in daylight, as warm indoor lighting can make shades look warmer than they really are.
