Is your furniture brand-new?

In short: yes. Almost everything we sell is brand-new and unused. Our stock comes from cancelled orders, clearance and overstock, not from ex-display or second-hand furniture.

Where our stock comes from

Joseph James Furniture Outlet sources genuine, big-brand furniture that, for one reason or another, never made it to a customer. That includes:

Cancelled orders that were made but never collected or delivered.
Clearance and end-of-line pieces as ranges are updated.
Overstock and surplus from major brands and retailers.

Because these pieces never reached a home, they arrive with us brand-new, which is how we can offer authentic, big-brand furniture at outlet prices.

Not ex-display or second-hand

Our furniture is not ex-display, not used and not graded seconds. It is genuine, brand-new stock, simply sold at a fraction of the original price.

The occasional exception

Now and then, a small number of pieces have a minor fault, such as a mark from transit. Where that is the case, we always describe it clearly and show photos on the product page, and the price reflects it, so you know exactly what you are buying before you order.
