Leather Sofa Sets

The grade varies by maker: aniline and semi-aniline hides, used by Nicoletti and World of Leather, are soft with a visible natural grain; corrected-grain and pigmented leathers, common on G Plan and most power recliners, are more uniform and harder-wearing. Very little is needed. Wipe it with a soft, slightly damp cloth every week or two to lift dust, and mop spills straight away rather than letting them soak in. Use a leather cream or conditioner two or three times a year to keep the hide supple, and avoid household cleaners, wipes and polish, which strip the finish. Keep it a metre or so from radiators and out of strong direct sunlight, which dries and fades leather, and rotate the seat cushions where the design allows. Looked after this way a real leather sofa will outlast a fabric one.
