Can I return an item sold with a disclosed fault?

‹ Back to Returns & Refunds help

In short: if an item was sold with a fault or mark that we clearly told you about before you bought it, and the price reflected that, you cannot return it later for that same disclosed issue. If a different, undisclosed fault appears, your statutory rights still apply.

What a disclosed fault means

Some of our clearance and ex-display pieces are sold with a small mark or minor fault that we point out to you before you buy, with the price reduced to reflect it. Because the issue was made clear and you chose to buy on that basis, it is not grounds for a return or refund later on.

You are still covered for anything else

A disclosed fault only covers the specific issue we told you about. If a separate, undisclosed fault appears, or the item is not as described, your statutory rights apply as normal. See my item arrived faulty or damaged.

Changed your mind?

If you ordered online or by phone, your 14-day change-of-mind window still applies as normal, a disclosed fault does not remove it. See how long do I have to return an item?
